Finally coming to fruition after years of work, hd hausmann’s single “far unseen” has been released, and the wait was ultimately worth it. Please read on for our full review of the track, in addition to a much needed background on this artist.
With a full length album on the way, this preview track titled “far unseen” by hd hausmann has turned out to be the perfect precursor to a record we’re beyond excited for. Written in Greece back in 2019 and roadblocked by life and everything in between, the final product is a focused and complete listen of dense instrumentation, unique vocals, and a strong message. Without a doubt, we’re excited for everyone out there to give this a listen as soon as possible.
Written as a dedication to hd’s sister’s second child, inspired by a “photograph they managed to take of the full moon at the time she was giving birth”, the lyricism recounts an important moment in the character’s life. Ultimately though, the artist has showcased himself as both a prolific songwriter, but also a vocalist that has tailored his tone within the theme of the song. We definitely need to do a deep dive on the rest of his discography, however there’s really a special feeling and vibe that he gives off here from start to finish. On the genre, it borders on post rock, but with a modern essence that the genre seems to be heading towards these days. However, whatever label you’d like to put on this track, it’s wonderful throughout.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that we’re fans of this, but it begs the question of what the rest of the record is going to sound like. Thematically it’s certainly going to be a personal record given the context, but we’re also major fans of the diverse instrumentation that’s been presented. You’ll experience a slow build that blooms to greatness at the end and we sincerely hope that keeps up as more singles see the light of day.
