From Central Massachusetts, Harry Green is a multifaceted artist who’s been surrounded by music most of his life. Inspired by musical greats such as Green Day and The Who initially, he expanded his musical interests into early 2010’s mainstream and underground rap. Since then, he’s been honing in and crafting his sound that could only be described as a hybrid mix of Rap, Hip-Hop, and glimmers of minimalistic R&B.

With a release schedule that’s set to include 2 music videos (1 releasing this Friday!) and 15 songs this year alone, his hopes are to connect with his growing fan base on a personal level, collaborate with like-minded artists, and continue to pave his own path in the music industry. If “Ignition Sequence” is any indication so far, he is certainly on the right track. We couldn’t help but be overly impressed with what we heard, and confidently think you will be too.

At just a little over four and a half minutes in total run time, Harry has managed to expertly blend a multitude of genres into one succinct sound. Featuring acoustic guitars, a bumping bass, and his precise and clean delivery, this track hits the spectrum of everything we require to be considered a hit.

In a sense, the song is sort of laid back and gives off more of a relaxed vibe in its atmosphere. There weren’t too many moments where it goes “hard”, but at the same time, we don’t think that’s what the artist’s intentions were. If anything, this delicately put together song is showcasing the finer side of a clean production sound and focusing in on Harry’s deep and complex lyricism. Not necessarily that the instrumentation side is taking a backseat, but it fully allows for the listener to focus in and hear the story being told.

Considering that this is Harry Green’s first official single release of the year, we can consider it a win. Seeing that there’s so much more left to be uncovered and released by year’s end, it’s got us incredibly excited to watch not only his growth, but also the potential experimentation in which he takes his sound. It’s a ride we can’t wait to take and hope you’ll take it with him as well.

With all being said, do yourselves a favor and get listening to “Ignition Sequence” as soon as possible. Make sure to keep an eye out for the music video dropping this Friday as well!
