Rounding out her 2022 with a slow burning and orchestral-inspired single, Haley Fishberger has made her return with “Home (305)”. Do yourselves a massive favor and read on for our thoughts on the track, as well as an update on the artist.

It’s been nearly two months to the day since we last reviewed Haley Fishberger and her single “Sweetheart”, so you can probably imagine our immense delight to know that she’s just shared another beauty in “Home (305)”. Taking things down a notch within the production and boosting her dynamic vocal range was truly the best stylistic decision making she could have made. This song gave us chills and elegantly painted a vivid picture from start to finish. Without a doubt, we’re urging everyone to enjoy this as soon as possible.

On the background of it all, “Home (305)” was written while in transit from Haley’s previous home (Miami) on the way to start her new life in Los Angeles. While both cities certainly have their similarities, there’s no way you’d be able to take those intrinsic memories away from somewhere where it all started. Life consistently takes us on these journeys and adventures, and we think Haley’s goal here was for this song to serve as a crutch for anyone who might be missing those initial roots. As mentioned, stylistically we think the decision to sort of strip things back and focus on the cinematic and suspenseful side was the right choice by far. As a listener you’re immediately sucked into the storytelling, but there’s seemingly infinite amounts of charm that the rest of the song presents to you as well. That added violin from Hannah Wyatt undoubtedly added an immeasurable amount of perfection into the mix.

As our introduction to Haley was through “Sweetheart”, this definitely came as a surprise, but it also shows off such an extreme versatility in what she’s capable of producing. The two are incomparable, but together they go to show you how diverse one’s discography can be all the while moving the goal posts for what’s musically possible. Plain and simple, we’re head over heels with this song and cannot wait for the world to listen and enjoy.
