Just released on October 28th, 2022, GLX has made his return for his fourth single ever, “Body”. We are loving it! Keep reading for a much closer look into the track, as well as a background on this emerging artist.

Currently representing the music scene in East London, GLX is meticulously putting together a cosmic blend of R&B, Hip Hop, and glimmers of Trap and Afrobeats. On his latest musical endeavor titled “Body”, he’s infused his heart and soul lyrically in a compelling story that hooks you from the opening notes. With the addition of a crisp production and his intoxicating vocals, it’s a virtual guarantee you’ll find yourself humming or singing along by song’s end. Without a doubt, it’s both a song and an artist we’re urging everyone to check out.

As a rapper, audio engineer, producer, and songwriter, GLX has basically covered the map in his skill set, culminating in a growing discography that we’re excited to see get bigger. After a nine month musical hiatus, the quality is overwhelming and present, the artist hasn’t skipped a beat in the slightest. We’re still on the path to connecting the dots within the lyricism, but from what we can sense so far, it feels generally optimistic and positive. A slew of standouts washed over us during our initial listen, but one of the mains worth mentioning was GLX’s vocal control and ability to evoke a mood and tone. It’s not just him up there reciting lyrics, rather guiding the listener through his personal experience. “Body” is a slow jam up front, but ultimately it’s three and a half minutes of genre-bending music that takes you on a journey through style and sound.

While the backing beat is quite nice to listen to as well, the decision to keep the vocals right up front in the mix was absolutely the right one. Considering the minor modulation added to his voice, it acts as a hidden instrument in the song that also helps to propel the emotion and drama that “Body” sustains. Undoubtedly it’s something that we’ll be coming back to frequently, but also keeping our eyes and ears peeled hoping that more is on the way in 2023.

As we patiently wait, please check out the necessary links below to listen, follow along, and of course to keep up with all major news.
