Once again displaying his outstanding and masterful songwriting skills, Glenn Valles has shared another winner called “Looking Up To Heaven”. Keep reading as we share our thoughts on the track, as well as an update on this artist.

Continuing to expand his repertoire of sounds, styles, and genre formatting, Glenn Valles has impressed us yet again with his immensely expressive single, “Looking Up To Heaven”. Coming from a distinctly personal place and experience, we feel as though he’s used this space to cope and share his grief for others to relate with. It’s a song in the style of Country, yet it features many modern elements that hinge on beautiful vocal deliveries and painting a clear picture. Of course we recommend it to everyone and cannot wait for you to hit the play button.

On the background of this single, Glenn has stated that it was written “after the sudden passing of his mother, Clothilda”. In an interview with the UKSC, he also said that “this was the only way to express his grief” and “this song and this win is dedicated to his parents”. It comes as no surprise just how deep and meaningful his words have become after you listen to the song, but what continues to make Glenn so special is the way that he formulates the compositions too. His consistent goal is to have the listener “see with their ears” which is honestly the best way to put it. Considering that Glenn enlists other musicians to feature on his track, he’s the composer in the situation and every decision he’s made thus far has been the right one.

As “the songcrafter” that he claims to be, it’s a tall order to come in and constantly create these moving, living, and breathing pieces of art. Of course you’ve got to live your life and rack up the experiences, and though this one is certainly sad, they go on to live like little mementos of an individual's life. Death is an all too common subject, but we wholeheartedly agree that so many out there will be able to listen to this and rejoice in the optimism that his words bring.
