Glenn Valles debuts an instant holiday classic, "Christmas In My Soul"
Sliding in right at the end of the year with a holiday original, Glenn Valles has done it once again on “Christmas In My Soul”. Keep reading as we share our thoughts on the track, as well as an update on the artist.
It’s been nearly three months since we last reviewed Glenn Valles and his single, “A Troubled Mind”, but since then the artist hasn’t slowed down his creative streak. Right in time for the holiday season, a rare original tune has just been shared titled “Christmas In My Soul” and it’s a seriously fitting mood lifter that highlights a bright instrumentation and dynamic vocals. If this happens to be your introduction to him, it’s a fantastic jumping off point to the rest of his growing discography.
As Glenn is currently located in Mumbai, India, the amount of awards and accolades he’s received over the course of 2022 is downright jaw dropping. Although they’re well deserved, he consciously creates music that his listener will “see with their ears and feel with their souls". That fact continues to be true because he’s actually shared a music video (linked) below that perfectly captures the full essence of “Christmas In My Soul”. For us, there’s just too many repeats of the same songs year after year, so to now have something like this that breaks the mold and has a personality about it, that’s a major win.
Stylistically speaking on the single, it’s definitely got those specific glimmers of holiday time in the production, but it also does a wonderful job of incorporating so much more. It’s not quite straight up Pop, but also actually has some really nice Country elements infused into it as well. The presented vocal range and delivery truly know no bounds though, fitting in seamlessly like a glove. “Christmas In My Soul” has plenty of upbeat moments and a genuine lightheartedness about it, making it an ideal listen for the holidays just in case things get stressful.
