Back at it with his second full length LP titled Eternal Allies, Gergely Kalapis has openly put his heart and soul into this beauty. Please read on for a closer look at the record, as well as a background on this artist.

Currently based out of Wembley, Gergely Kalapis is a one man band and music producer that has been on a serious roll over the past couple of years. Storming into 2022 with this new album called Eternal Allies, he’s expertly channeled a “90’s underground rock” sound into something that also features glimmers of modern styles. Whatever label you want to put on it, just know it absolutely rips, and we can’t wait for everyone to give it a listen.

Coming in at 12 total tracks, spanning right around 45 minutes even, Eternal Allies does something that a lot of other rock-based records aren’t doing these days, staying cohesive. Instead of trying to capture that one radio topping single for example, he’s put together a glorious selection of tracks that seamlessly flow from one to another, tell a story, and keep on the same style for a majority of the listen. Gergely’s vocals become the constant energy driver of the album, but let’s not pretend that the instrumentals aren’t massive either. To know that everything you’re about to hear is coming from one person is simply extraordinary! Hopefully once live shows start happening, he’ll assemble a band just as talented as him to put on a show that this album is begging for.

Following up his 2021 debut Reach into Your Soul, we seriously can’t wait to dig back and compare the two. We’re sure there’s most likely been a ton of growth over the last year in terms of everything from the production to even getting better as a musician, but there has to be gems lying in that record that need to be uncovered. Whether you’re hearing about Gergely for the first time or you’ve been a fan, our sincere recommendation is to check out Eternal Allies first and work your way back. We’re more than impressed with our listen and will undoubtedly be coming back to this one often.
