George Jano & The Feels preview "So Low" & "Rocking Horse" off upcoming EP - Interview
George Jano & The Feels are back with two new singles, "So Low" and "Rocking Horse," offering a taste of their upcoming EP Under the Sun Vol. 2. These tracks, dripping with laid-back charm and expert craftsmanship, showcase a band that’s not just riding the wave of good vibes but steering it with intention and heart.
"So Low," the first single from the EP, is part one of a two-part song with its counterpart "Too High" set to follow. The track is an easy-going yet introspective journey, with George Jano’s smooth vocals and thoughtful lyrics leading the way. In our newest interview with him, George delved into the making of this song, sharing how it was inspired by the ups and downs of life—capturing that feeling of being in a low place while still holding onto hope.
The second single, "Rocking Horse," continues the laid-back, sun-soaked vibe with a catchy melody and a sense of playful nostalgia. George’s songwriting shines here, blending relatable themes with a breezy musical backdrop that makes this track perfect for those late-summer days. The anticipation for the release of the "Rocking Horse" music video, dropping officially on Labor Day, adds another layer of excitement to this already infectious single.
George shared that bringing in a producer for the first time—Evan Kornblum of Stages Music Arts in Maryland—was a game-changer for the band. Compared to the last time we spoke with George nearly three years ago, the growth is immeasurable. Of course the collaboration brought new sounds and styles, yet he’s still managed to retain their very specific sound going forward. Even better, we got a sneak preview of the EP releasing on September 20th, and let us confidently say, the remaining three songs are absolute bundles of joy in music form.
Max DeVincenzo of Fox Tracks Music and The Indie Recording Academy laid down the drums, while George handled all other instrumentation, showcasing his multi-talented approach to music-making. The result is a collection of songs that feel personal, yet universally appealing—perfect for fans of easy-going rock with a touch of introspection.
With three more songs set to release on September 2nd, Under the Sun Vol. 2 is shaping up to be a must-listen EP.
