Gabrielle Ornate delivers powerful vocal performance on single, "Rewrite The Rules"
Continuing on her flawless run of 2021 singles, Gabrielle Ornate has blown us away yet again with an empowering new single, “Rewrite The Rules”. Read on for our glowing review of the track, in addition to a much needed background on this talented artist.
Making a strong statement within her lyricism and laying down another ripping vocal performance, it’s quickly proving that Gabrielle Ornate can do no wrong. “Rewrite The Rules” is her latest musical output and it represents a “declaration of empowerment”. She’s aiming to change the rules of toxic relationships and has sent a strong message in the process. If this is your introduction to Gabrielle’s music, you’re in for a big treat.
Kicking things right off, we already know this one’s going to be stuck in our head for ages due to its underlying instrumental that’s about as inventive as can be. Of course all of Gabrielle Ornate’s music typically revolves around her commanding vocals, but it instantly felt like the production and atmosphere on “Rewrite The Rules” took a big step up too. Just like any artist that’s finding their way within the music scene, there’s bound to be some experimentation, however the path that she’s taking right now is one we’ll welcome with wide open arms.
While we’ve loved all of her past singles like “Waiting To Be Found”, “Do You Feel?”, and more, there’s a certain completeness that this song exudes. Most of the past track have definitely been more pop-based just like this song, but there’s other genres sneaking in here that might signal a change for the future. You can hear the rock influences of course, but a little bit of punk as well was delivered through the instrumentation. The one constant that we’re thrilled hasn’t changed is the way that Gabrielle continues to set the tone and lay down the attitude in her delivery.
As this appears to be her fourth overall single, you’d be a fool to not listen to everything she’s put out so far. Having reviewed all of them, it’s been such a blast getting to hear the evolution and improvement of her sound, so we suggest you all do the same. It’s a musical journey worth taking.
