Full Deck share nostalgic new EP, "You Know It's Real"

Representing the Ontario music scene, Full Deck are an absolute force that are putting together some of the best modern pop punk we’ve heard in as long as we can remember. While the rest of their discography is obviously worth a listen, we definitely are considering this to be potentially their best release yet. Right off the bat, we are encouraging all who come across this to get into the EP as soon as possible.
Speaking on touchy, complex, and deep subjects, Full Deck have not held back even a little bit on the lyricism displayed on You Know It’s Real. To be completely honest, the entire package they’ve put together here from the instrumentation, insanely classic vocals, and rhythm is something to behold. On the instrumentation though, we would’ve been fine with a fully instrumental version as that was impressive on its own, however everything still flowed flawlessly.
Slightly reminiscent of some of the best pop punk of the early 2000’s, Full Deck have struck a chord with us that brought us back to better days. Seriously, listening to this record over and over at this point has us feeling nostalgic for better times, but thankfully this is a 2021 release which means we get to relive the greatness into the bright future. At four songs in length, spanning just over 15 minutes, they’ve got something incredibly special on their hands.
Every member of Full Deck brought something entirely impressive to the mix and it’s just begging to be played in a live setting. The energy that it gives on the recorded version is impressive, but we’ll definitely be counting the days down until a show is announced in our area.
