Atlanta-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Frogmorton has just released the second single, "Passageway," from his highly anticipated debut record. With its psychedelic dreamy vibe at the forefront, the track captivates listeners and invites them into a mesmerizing sonic realm. His musical prowess shines through in this beautifully crafted song, setting the stage for what promises to be an immersive and enchanting debut record.
"Passageway" was recorded at Big Trouble Recording in Atlanta, where Frogmorton worked alongside an exceptional team of talents. Produced by Daniel Gleason (of Grouplove fame), engineered and mixed by TJ Elias (known for his work with Manchester Orchestra), and mastered by Dan Millice, the track boasts a stellar lineup of industry professionals. The drums and percussion, skillfully executed by Ben Homola (of Grouplove), provide a solid foundation, while background vocals contributed by Hope Thuita add an extra layer of depth and texture.
Conceptually, "Passageway" is a fitting introduction to Frogmorton's forthcoming album, titled 'Green Thoughts, Green Dreams.' The record invites listeners into an otherworldly fantasy land, delving into themes related to dreams, the unconscious, and introversion. With its dreamlike quality and ethereal atmosphere in the sound, "Passageway" serves as a portal to this realm, drawing listeners into a journey of self-exploration and introspection.
From the opening notes, "Passageway" envelops listeners in its lush tapestry of style. The song's delicate instrumentation, combined with Frogmorton's heartfelt vocals, creates a sense of intimacy and vulnerability. The indie and psychedelic elements seamlessly intertwine, resulting in a harmonious blend that evokes a nostalgic yet familiar sound.
