FobMobJoJoo dissects his stunning debut album, "Sucka 4 Luv" - Interview
Coming through with his debut record, FobMobJoJoo has just shared his latest, Sucka 4 Luv. We got the unique opportunity to speak with the artist behind the music to learn all about its origins. Watch our full interview below.
Originating in the Pacific Northwest, FobMobJoJoo is the work of Joseph Delacruz in which he’s telling his stories through the medium of Hip Hop and R&B. Gaining influence ranging from artists like Method Man, 2Pac, DJ Quik, and more, sitting with the artist and hearing all about his life and process was an absolute treat. He’s managed to create absolute greatness on his debut, Sucka 4 Luv.
Filled with 8 incredibly personal and thought provoking tracks that provide an insight into the artist’s life is what you can expect on the record. According to the artist himself, Sucka 4 Luv is an insight “into the experiences of an early 20’s, young adult navigating life, as best as he can; while being faced with the everyday demons and vices that try to tether you to a life that’ll move faster than you expect.”
Now we obviously don’t want to give too much about the interview, because our aim for you is to watch, but if there’s one thing you must do is at least listen to the music of the artist. He’s really toed the line of genre, but managed to master the sound of both Hip Hop and R&B. His lyrics are beyond inventive and a sure fire way for you to immediately fall in love with the sound of the artist. There’s plenty of crafty production techniques and after effects featured as well that elevate the record to a new plain.
In addition to his music being impressive, Joseph was also just a great person to interview. Lengthy with his answers and ultimately an open book into his life and experience, we feel that it made for a fantastic interview that’s more than worth your time to check out. There’s nothing better than getting to know an artist who’s just opened up and bared his soul on a piece of hard work known as his music.
We honestly can’t wait to see and hear more from the artist in the coming months and years. No rush to him, but the people need more! With that being said though, do yourselves a massive favor and listen and follow along with FobMobJoJoo by clicking the links below. Enjoy!
