Back again with yet another memorable single titled “Only Fangs”, we got the incredible opportunity to sit and speak with the artist himself, Flowgli. Please watch our newest interview below.
For the most part, our interviews are typically structured in a way to hear specifics about the artist of our choosing. In this case though, our interview with Flowgli broke the mold a bit and ventured off into a fantastic conversation not only about “Only Fangs”, but the hard hitting topic of living with Aspergers and ADD. As a talented artist like himself, we truly can’t wait to see what else he releases in the coming months.
The name itself Flowgli was fun to learn about is it stems from the interpretation of the character Mowgli from The Jungle Book, in addition to a vampiric persona taken on. Now the real priority of this review is to get listening, but we’d obviously recommend you give our interview a full watch as well as this one was certainly unique to the rest. We covered so many additional wonderful topics that we can’t wait to follow up on in future talks as well.
As for “Only Fangs”, this song expertly takes on lyrically what everyone is thinking as an independent artist trying to make it in the music scene. Growing on Instagram has been near impossible, getting your music heard is tough, and “blowing” up to stardom is a hard fantasy. In the way that Flowgli has broken down his flow and creative themes, it’s such an eye opening experience as to the struggles of an artist just trying to get their music played.
We also heard some much needed shout outs from some of the artists that deserve the spotlight from Flowgli, but you’ll just have to watch the interview to find out! In the meantime though, we do sincerely hope that you will dig in and give not only this newest single a stream, but the rest of his discography. It does a really tough, but impressive, job of creating fun and innovative types of sounds, yet being heartfelt about the context that lies beneath them. Listen closely to the lyricism as it is quite hard hitting from start to finish.
