Luckily for us, we got the opportunity to ask Evanthia a series of questions which received some seriously thoughtful answers. Please enjoy our full Q&A session with the artist below:

WWAM: First off, Evanthia, thank you so much for taking the time to answer some of our questions. How are you and how have you been?

Evanthia: Hiii Thanks so much for having me! I appreciate you taking the time to speak with me.

WWAM: To start, this song is truly wonderful from start to finish. Would you mind breaking down the message of it all?

Evanthia:The Deep End is for the hopeless romantic. I wrote this song wanting to express what it feels like to love someone and not sure if they are ready for that next step in the relationship. Is love everything that we dream it is, or is it just a fairy tale?

WWAM: The production on the song is great as well. Do you do all of your production, do you have help putting together the final pieces?

Evanthia:This song was produced by Mark Siegel.  Mark and I met before we cut vocals and talked about my vision for The Deep End. I have always loved live instruments. So Mark put together some insanely talented musicians that played on this track. Before the song was finalized we got together and did final tweaking. It was magical.

WWAM: If you had to put a label on this genre wise, how would you explain it? We loved how it pulled from so much!

Evanthia: Thank you! I honestly don't know how to really categorize my sound other than country. I do feel though that music can be interpreted differently from one person to the next. That's what makes this so fun. I love the feedback from my listeners about how they hear it. It makes me happy to think that it is a song that is loved by all genres.

WWAM: So considering this is your debut single, the hope is that there’s more to come right?

Evanthia:Oh yes! You are absolutely right about that. I am actually in the studio this week preparing for my next drop. Lets just say that there are many more songs that will be out here in the next couple of months. I am also going to start performing at more venues this next month!!!

WWAM: Were there some key artists or albums in your life that inspired you to take this path as a musician?

Evanthia: I have always loved music. My family always has something playing on the TV or radio. From the time I was a little girl I had envisioned myself performing on stage in front of big crowds. The artists that have always inspired me are Kacey Musgraves and Taylor Swift.

WWAM: What’s your process? How do you go about creating a song?

Evanthia: Every writing process is different. I get a lot of my ideas from my journal. But there are times that I have had an idea and another writer might have something that we are all vibing more with at the time. It's so important to have fun. Sometimes I might go into a session and have a melody stuck in my head or even a chord progression and we build off of that. The process of change for each session keeps it fun and interesting.

WWAM: So tell me, what do you enjoy the most about being an artist and creative?

Evanthia: That is such a great question. I believe they go hand in hand. I have always been creative. For example, when I see musical notes, I see color. This makes for a very interesting process when writing for me. And then when I perform it's just magnified.

WWAM: What does your music say about you?

Evanthia: I want my music to show that I am real. I want my listeners to know that I have been through things just like them. I want them to feel what I have to say. I want us to relate to each other. Everyone has a story, and I hope I can show them how my music can be a part of theirs.

WWAM: Trying to tour this year?

Evanthia: Touring is not out of the question. For me right now it's about creating music for my listeners to get to know me and my sound. I will continue performing at local venues and maybe some out of town locations as well. I will definitely keep everyone posted. I can't wait to see everyone in person!

WWAM: We're halfway through this year already which is wild, what's the back half of 2023 looking like for you?

Evanthia: Music, Music and more music. I too can't believe it's halfway through. I am really looking forward to creating more magical songs. And of course performing for all my listeners.

WWAM: What are some goals, musical or not, you’ve set for yourself this year.

Evanthia: I am a lover of working out. I have a local trainer, Gunnar Peterson, who I meet with each week. I am working hard on getting my body to its best place and maintaining it to help me when I start touring.

WWAM: What message would you like to pass off to the listeners? Where can they find your music and is there anything else they can look forward to?

Evanthia: If I can say anything to my listeners, it is thank you from the bottom of my heart. It means the world to me that you listen to my music and follow me on my journey. I love all of the messages you send me. I save them all! I can only hope my music will connect with all of you in some way. <3 My music is available on on music platforms.
