Centering her newest song around her dynamic vocals and impressive production, Esmae has crafted a memorable new hit titled “Had It All”. Read on for our full review of the track, as well as a background on the artist.

Filled with heartfelt moments and evocative lyricism highlighting her personal experiences, Esmae’s newest single “Had It All” is nothing short of spectacular. Considering she’s only been making music as of this year, it’s wild to realize that her songs are picking up steam quickly on the streaming charts. If this happens to be your introduction to her music, highly recommend hopping on the bandwagon right now as next year is looking big.

At just a little under four minutes in total runtime, one of the biggest things that stood out to us on this song was how many different genres seemed to poke out. While it’s definitely falling under the Pop umbrella, the instrumentation side had a real old school R&B feel to it with the pulsating beats and rhythm. As much as you wanted to slow things down to listen to the story, it all ended for us in a full on dance and groove as the song picked up.

On the background of the song, it’s really about the reality of walking away from relationships, which is ultimately relatable for so many. That could be the reason we took to the song so fast, but the infinite other elements of the song weren’t far behind. If anything, listening to this over and over has us super excited for her upcoming EP, Do Better. We’re not 100% sure of its release date, which is why we suggest following along with Esmae to keep tabs on what’s coming.

Speaking of, we’ve included all the important listening links below so that you can experience the greatness of her newest, “Had It All”. We hope you love it as much as we did!
