Released on June 4th, 2021, Erasing Grace has let loose the polished version of her newest single, “Shoot Me”. We’re loving it! Read along for our complete review of the track, as well as a background on the artist as well.

For the fans out there of PJ Harvery, Hole, and Patti Smith, welcome to the glowing world of Erasing Grace. With this new single out titled “Shoot Me”, it’s about as glowing and hopeful as our wildest dreams could have imagined. Having only released a demo of “Running Out of Reasons”, we collectively rejoiced once we saw a new and fully produced track had dropped.

Those who may not be familiar with Erasing Grace, it’s actually the project lead by Anna Grace Du Noyer. Having been a former festival director and published poet, she’s no stranger to music. With three total tracks all set for release between now and June 18th, there’s literally never been a better time to become a fan. We have a pretty strong feeling that after listening to “Shoot Me”, that won’t be too difficult of a task.

Being described as “a dreamy mix of melancholy and psychedelic alternative rock, underpinned by 90s grunge roots”, that’s just a small taste of what you can expect once you dig on in. Although Erasing Grace was formed in the year 2020 in Liverpool, England, the sounds that are coming off her sound like they’re coming from a seasoned group of veterans who have been playing together for 20 years. Written by Anna Grace and co-produced by multi-instrumentalist Renzo Calma of Buenos Aires band Mantra, the two have truly struck gold on this release.

By the end of our initial listen, we honestly felt euphoric and empowered in the best way possible. It’s not all too often that a single song can make us feel such a way, however there was really just something different and intriguing about the track as a whole here. Erasing Grace has more on the way in the coming weeks as mentioned, which has us even more excited to get on this journey with them and keep listening. We suggest you do the same!
