Emi Secrest hits back with a slow jam single, "I Fux W U"

With its official release coming tomorrow on December 11th, 2020, Emi Secret is back with yet another fantastic track, titled “I Fux W U”. We’re loving it! Please read along with us for our thoughts on the single, as well as a background on the artist herself.
For those who may be unaware, Emi’s been churning out gold since 2014 with her debut release, “Fearless”. Since then, it’s been hit after hit that has led up to this most recent single in her catalogue. She can be heard singing the theme song for the hit daytime talk show The Real, in addition to writing the theme song for the JC Penney “So Worth it” campaign, which was nationally syndicated all across the US. Leading up to quarantine, Emi toured every week and could be seen singing with Kanye West’s Sunday soul service choir.
Fortunately for the artist, quarantine has not stopped her from continuing to get her name out there. Since March, she’s been performing live weekly outside of her studio located in North Hollywood, California hosting masked attendees to bask in her greatness. In a world that misses live music more than anything, we appreciate you bringing much needed happiness into listeners lives. Additionally, we’re located in Los Angeles, so we’d love to see it!
Specifically on “I Fux W U”, it’s no surprise that Emi has wowed us yet again. On this slow burner of a single, Emi slows things down a tad, which really allows for the artist to showcase those stunning vocals of hers that really make her what she is. With plenty of diverse instrumentation sprinkled in throughout the three minute track, we’re beyond confident in stating that she’s got another winner on her hands.
Looking at her output throughout the course of 2020, as rough as this year’s been, Emi’s proven that her creativity just does not quit. Maybe it’s the extra time to focus, maybe it’s not, but regardless she’s not letting it stop her. Meanwhile, it looks like we’ve got some homework on our hands as we definitely need to go back and listen to it all.
Now while the song isn’t being formally released until Friday, December 11th, we just need to reiterate yet again that she’s topped herself on this one, so please don’t miss out.
