With their first official single release of 2021, and third overall, consider us extremely impressed with Elliot Wren’s latest single, “Girl in the Flower Patch”. Keep reading on for our full featured review of the track, as well as a background on this immensely talented artist.

For those out of the loop, Elliot Wren is an indie pop singer and songwriter currently based out of Boston, MA. Having been writing for over 10 years now, this artist is directly influenced by some of the greats such as Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne, Miley Cyrus, and plenty more. Effortlessly injecting their own signature sound and style into the mix though, we’ve quickly fallen in love with “Girl in the Flower Patch” and are overwhelmingly recommend a listen ASAP.

With an inherent goal to prove to LGBTQ+ artists, artists with disabilities, and other musicians who face hardships that they can pursue music as a profession, we can confidently say that Elliot is certainly on the right path here. For us, “Girl in the Flower Patch” was nothing short of a hard hitting, lyrically powerful, and instrumentally profound type of song. With the help of BKY Music’s award winning producer Brad Young, the two have made an ideal team for this song, and even more set for release in the next year.

Coming in at just under three total minutes on the track, Elliot swiftly and succinctly sucks the listener into the world that they’ve created. Stripping back the instrumentation just a tad and letting their vocals take center stage is what we appreciated most, however the entirety of the package is worth noting and paying attention to. Seeing as though this appears to be Elliot’s third overall single, we highly encourage all to hop into their other tracks “RIP My Diary” and “Good Luck”. To no surprise in the slightest, they both delivered in a big way and provided a much needed insight into the trajectory of the artist’s music.

Considering this was our introduction into Elliot Wren, we can profoundly say that it won’t be our last. It’s not often a song like this sweeps us off our feet so quickly, which is why we’ve got to mention again that we sincerely hope you all check it out. We’ve made it super easy to do so by including all the important links below where you can listen and follow along for more. Enjoy!
