Staying incredibly consistent with her releases in 2022, Elba Rose has made a swift return with a complete stunner titled “diamond like”. Please read on for our complete review of the track, as well as a background on this artist.

Currently based in Brighton, Elba Rose is an alternative pop artist who is striving and succeeding in putting together an eclectic mix of sounds and styles. On her newest endeavor titled “diamond like”, she’s kept up with a minimalistic production that allows for her vocals to come out and be the star of the show. While the song certainly leans on imagery-filled lyricism, it definitely has created a unique atmosphere in the process. We’ve sincerely enjoyed our multiple listens and think you will too once you dig into it.

Somewhere between alternative pop and Hip-Hop influenced beats, Elba Rose has found a middle ground in creating something signature for herself that not a lot of artists are doing. We were immediately drawn to the bumping bass in the mix that seems to drive the beat, but the laid back feeling and calm sensations we got from her vocals were 100% our favorite part of “diamond like”. With a debut EP on the way and this being the third single released as a teaser, we took the time to listen to the first two tracks shared and while we adored them, this one felt like the standout. What’s showing itself clearly though is that she’s undoubtedly got a cohesive sound that’s all going to come together once the EP is out in full.

The listener is most likely going to be drawn to the general vibe that this song gives off, but we also urge everyone out there to make connections within the lyricism. Elba is opening up about her personal struggles and other deep themes, which really brings the track full circle in checking all of our boxes for what we like the most. It’s not just an attractive beat with a relaxed vocal style, rather an artist being vulnerable with her words and telling a story that deserves to be heard.

With all that being said though, we’re sincerely looking forward to the full EP, but in the meantime have included all the links below so that you can listen, follow along, and of course stay up to date with all major news. Enjoy!
