In case you forgot, it wasn’t too long when we covered Dallas Rodin’s previously released single, “Sour Cherry”. Thankfully, she’s kicked off 2021 in an even bigger way with an alternative pop masterpiece, “Me & My Girls”. Featuring the best parts of her growing discography, we’re over here crossing our fingers this is the teaser for something even bigger this year. An EP or full length album of tracks just like these would be ideal.

Like we instilled on “Sour Cherry”, the production team working on Dallas’ music are putting their absolute all into everything she’s put out. In this case, not much has changed, this song is flawless in sound and atmosphere from the get go. With a bass booming so loud, it’s sure to rattle your brain, but in a way that just has you begging for more by the end.

In terms of run time on the track, it has stayed with the same outline as her previous music. Fitting as much as possible into a sub-3 minute single is tough, but the way that you finish it up feeling its overall completeness is what’s the most impressive part. There’s not a second of filler and really every moment is bursting with creativity. The real talents are shining on this one.

Now we don’t want to give too much away, because we’d obviously prefer you’d take a listen, but the immense amount of mood that the song gives off is unparalleled. As much as you could consider this to be an alternative pop song, it could also fall under the genres of artpop or dark pop. Not so much lyrically, but in sound is where we’d classify that. Lastly though, the last 30 seconds of the song are where things really take off, so make sure to listen to the full thing.

To no surprise in the slightest, we’re highly recommending yet again that you give Dallas Rodin’s all new single a listen. You won’t regret it, and if anything, you may have just found your new favorite pop artist. Enjoy!
