With the first single release of 2021, Colin Bussiere has yet again improved upon his last output of music. Having covered his previously released tracks in 2020, “Psalmoi” and “Closer”, he’s taken the best parts of those and fused them into another thrilling piece of art that begs the listener to get up and dance it out.

Now for those wondering what “Nu Mi Nouse” or “numinous” means, Webster’s Dictionary defines it as being “filled with a sense of the presence of divinity” or “appealing to the higher emotions of the aesthetic sense”. Without even knowing the definition of the word before listening, those are the exact feelings and emotions that were naturally evoked just by listening. Not to get too over the top here, but really, Colin has taken it to another level here.

If you’ve become familiar with the artist’s music over time now, then you’ll quickly realize that with each song release, he’s experimenting a bit with the overall sound. While this song doesn’t quite feature the epic builds of “Psalmoi”, which we loved so much, it does succeed quickly in showing his enhanced production skills that clearly carry over from each single release.

This may have been mentioned in past write ups, but even if it hasn't been, you need to know that as a reader if you’ve always thought electronic music wasn’t for you, to quickly rethink those decisions. It’s become an art form in terms of music theory and having a hard time guessing what type of journey the artist is going to take you on.

Tonally and speaking on the mood, this track has an overwhelming feeling of focus. It’s the type of music that can be listened to at anytime per say, but also during times of study, long car rides, or just when you feel the need to bob your head while taking in every note of every beat. Whatever you’re feeling, we’re confident that “Nu Mi Nous” can find a place in it.

Once again it should go without saying that we’re highly suggesting you give this a listen, as well as the rest of Colin’s discography. For all things Colin Bussiere, to listen, and to keep up with all future releases and information, please check out the following links below.
