Charles HS shares his laidback indie pop track, "Tired Eyes"
Coming out strong with a stellar single titled “Tired Eyes” in 2022, Charles HS’s latest delivering is an upbeat song filled with vibrant grooves. Please read on for our full review of the track, as well as a background on this emerging artist.
Based out of Kent, Charles HS is making major waves within the indie pop scene, mainly due to the fact that he’s constantly searching outside of the box for a sound that isn’t repetitive. On his newest offering “Tired Eyes”, he’s elegantly blended together his lo-fi vocals with atmospheric guitar providing for an incredibly memorable listen. Without a doubt, we can’t wait for everyone out there to give this one a spin.
Now we’ll really kick things off here with a reminder that this was our introduction to Charles’ music, however he’s pretty easily created fans for life out of us in the sense that we’ve thoroughly enjoyed the song so much. His laid back demeanor on the vocal side provided the ideal vibe that we were looking for going into the track. Generally this is a classic sounding indie pop track, but he’s infused that special sauce to create something that’s provided longevity in the long run.
While there were so many elements of this track that we enjoyed, really the entirety of the package is what we liked the most. What that means is that all those special little moments gathered throughout “Tired Eyes” added together for an almost summer-like feeling. While we’re in the depths of winter at the moment, we know for a total fact we’ll be breaking out this song often as soon as the weather heats up, in addition to now!
As this song is coming out right at the beginning of the year, our sincere hopes are that it won’t be his last. Songs like this deserve rightful follow ups, maybe even in the form of an EP or a full length album. We don’t know what’s up his sleeve, but let’s all hope for the sake of music it’s a delivery of equally amazing songs just like this one.
