Buenos Diaz crafts a laidback new track, "Inauguration Day"
Keeping things laid back in sound but never failing to show off their guitar shreds, Buenos Diaz have let loose another wonderful single titled “Inauguration Day”. Please read on for our full featured review of their track, as well as a background on the band.
Made up of Dana Marie (Bass/Vocals), Greg Clifford (Drums), Sam Powell (Keyboards), and Nick Diaz (Guitar/Vocals), Buenos Diaz are a Texas-based lo-fi alternative pop band who have made instant fans of us with their new single, “Inauguration Day”. Complete with cunning lyricism, an impressive instrumentation, and great vibes, we can’t wait for everyone to sink their teeth into this fantastic new song.
Accompanied with a live version of the track that was filmed at Bobo’s in Austin, Texas (linked below), we’re going to kick things off with a recommendation to watch that in addition to your listen. At right around five minutes in run time, Buenos Diaz has accomplished a great feat in songwriting in our eyes. The song makes you want to kick back and relax a bit due to its calmness at times, but there’s a great story being told that is just begging to be listened to as well.
There’s no way we could get through this without mentioning it, but the tone, fuzz, and minor crunch on the guitar throughout this song is pure heaven. Right when things are beginning to feel a little too clean cut, the electric guitars enter the mix and provide that much needed jolt of energy to the song that it’s begging for. It’s perfectly placed throughout and really added so much emotion and passion to the song’s feel too.
Of course the vocals were quite nice as well and added a consistency that the song needed. Now, if it feels like we keep pointing out things that were awesome, well, it’s because we just really loved this song.
