Bryard Huggins crafts beauty on his inspirational new single, "Walk With Me" featuring Myshel

Officially released last month on September 12th, 2020, Bryard Huggins has shared with the world his inspirational new single, “Walk With Me” featuring Myshel on vocals. Please read along with us as we share our thoughts on the track, in addition to the origins behind the artist and his message.
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Bryard Huggins is a composer, record producer, and smooth jazz piano recording artist. He is also the founder and executive producer of Nashville indie record label and music production company Muse Entertainment. He and his younger brother (also a gifted musician) come from a robust musical family: gospel singers, songwriters, and recording artists on his father’s side; classical instrumentalists and singers on his mother’s side. It’s easy to say the music and art runs in Bryard’s family, and with that gift, he’s been able to craft and execute incredible music, including this latest single.
First impressions of “Walk With Me” will have the user feeling introspective and hopefully laser focused on the impactful lyrics that are delicately being sung by Myshel. “Walk With Me” was written, composed, and produced as a social justice anthem in regards to the modern day civil rights movement we’re currently living in. It is a direct response to the murders of Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and George Floyd.
According to Bryard, “When composing ‘Walk With Me’, as a black man and black artist, I wanted to create something that encouraged people to keep fighting for equality, all races and creeds,” says Bryard. “In the production, I wanted to nod to the sounds of Africa and film scores like The Lion King. But it wasn’t until Myshel’s vocals were added that I truly realized that this was more than just a song, it was an anthem for a movement bigger than myself. With everyone marching for racial justice right now, this is a song for them.”
To live through today’s day and age, we’re seeing more songs that are touching on current day subjects such as these. We absolutely love it, encourage it, and try to get these same messages out on a daily basis. Specifically, listening to “Walk With Me” is a unique experience and one that Bryard should be proud of himself for creating. It’s beautiful to listen to, the vocals are stellar, and the instrumentation is divine. There really isn’t much else to say other than we’d love for you to listen and take the message to heart.
