Starting his year off strong with a pop-centric single titled “Shadows”, Brandon Anderson is back and better than ever. Please read on for our glowing review of the track, as well as a refresher on this emerging artist.

Coming off a massive 2021 with accolades ranging from being a Critics Pick by TimeOut NY and so much more, Brandon Anderson is taking that success into 2022 with a new one, “Shadows”. Keeping things quite upbeat and vibrant as always, he’s showing off what’s to come off of his upcoming album. Slated for release sometime in late Spring, now’s the perfect time to jump on the bandwagon for everything else that’s on the way.

On the background of the track, Brandon tells us, “‘Shadows’ is about that voice in your head - you know the one. It sounds like you, like a friend, like wisdom, but it always tells you no, not yet, give it time”. For so many who carry that inner monologue, it can be difficult to deal with and navigate around, but being on top of it and making those realizations is what can be the most important thing. Obviously Brandon has come out on top and created a stellar piece of artwork in “Shadows” that is now acting like a helping hand to so many who need guidance.

Speaking directly on the instrumentation and production, this is getting a resounding “wow!” from us. As we’ve reviewed his work in the past that has also always been striving to keep things fun and interesting, “Shadows” acts as this big bold statement in sound. Swirling instruments, infectiously catchy melodies, and of course Brandon’s passionate vocals that act as that much needed constant have brought joy to all of us who have listened. Solidly, this is acting as yet another perfect addition to his rapidly growing discography that we can’t help but love.

Lastly, because this is coming out so early in the year, it really is serving as the perfect sneak peek to his yet to be named album. Everything leading up to this point has been extraordinary, so we’re thinking the best has yet to be released. In the meantime, catch up on everything you’ve potentially missed by checking out the links below, following along, and staying tuned for so much more!
