Boyboy immerses the listener on latest single, "Certified Lover Boy"
Serving up his first new single of 2022, Boyboy has come out with an elegant track titled “Certified Lover Boy”. Please read on for a closer look into the single, as well as a background on this emerging artist.
Currently based out of Perth in Western Australia, Boyboy is making waves within his local scene but slowly coming out as a powerhouse all over the globe. Always infusing tons of emotion and passion into his work, his latest “Certified Lover Boy” is another slow jam that focuses heavily on specific moods and meaningful lyricism. We’ve sincerely enjoyed our multiple listens since release day and can’t wait for everyone out there to give it a spin.
Featuring an incredibly rich production on top of a smooth instrumentation, Boyboy’s vocals and delivery are the cherry on top of an otherwise relaxing piece of beauty. Being open within his lyrics and displaying his journey through music, he’s given the listeners an opportunity to get to know him, where he’s been, and where he’s going. As an independent producer and R&B artist, it feels as though he’s find his specific niche in sound, but is also refining it with each subsequent single. We took the opportunity to check out the rest of his music and you can audibly hear the improvements over time.
Our only real “complaint” that isn’t really a complaint is that “Certified Lover Boy” is shorter than we’d hoped it would be. It’s about two and a half minutes, but we honestly wish it could’ve gone on for a few minutes more. The song itself is such a calming vibe and you immediately get immersed right from the opening notes. Boyboy has created a little atmosphere filled with sounds, styles, and atmospheres that you instantly want more of when the song eventually stops. As this is his first release of the year, here’s to hoping that plenty more is on the way!
