Making her return in the latter half of 2022, we’re thrilled to announce that Blair West is back with another sensational single, “Rabbit Holes”. Keep reading for a closer look into the track, as well as a much needed update on the artist.

It’s been about nine months since we last reviewed Blair West and her debut single, “All This To Say”, so you can only imagine our pure delight to know that she’s back with more. Her latest song is called “Rabbit Holes” and it immediately takes all of the elements we enjoyed so much on her first song and adds to the allure that captured us in the first place. For this now New York City-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, she’s dedicated herself to the craft and we can confidently say that the effort and end results have shown.

A lot has changed over the past nine months for Blair West, and we can only hope that it’s been generally positive. Garnering over 50,000 well earned streams to “All This To Say”, honing her craft as a songwriter, and preparing for this imminent release, she’s steamrolling her way to another memorable piece of art. Now having listened to “Rabbit Holes” multiple times, we can safely make comparisons to what we enjoyed so much on the first track. In this case though, we instantly recognized a maturation in her vocal delivery and range. Through the first listen, you’re hit directly with a wave of passion, emotion, and sincerity through her every line. For some reason the words hit harder and it could be due to the experiences she’s endured or rather a topic she’s covering that feels like it’s needed to get out over all this time.

There’s certainly a ton of elements about this song that we instantly vibed with, but the intimate and downright raw feeling it exudes has to be number one. “All This To Say” was relatively stripped back as we previously mentioned, but here, there’s been a step up in the grand soundscape that you’re hit with. Sure, there’s plenty of calming moments to create that suspense, but it’s also the control in her voice that adds a great deal of complexity from start to finish. You’re transfixed on every word, the backing instrumentation infuses bits of drama, but ultimately this feels like the spiritual follow up to the debut. There’s so much growth on display and it’s why we’ll 100% be coming back for more listens as soon as possible.

For now though, we’re urging everyone out there to listen, follow along, and of course keep up with everything else on the way.
