Bennett transforms himself on latest, "Boy Into A King"
Following up on his most recent release “Mirror”, which was just put out two weeks ago, Bennett is back again with his latest, “Boy Into A King”. Read along with us for our full and in-depth review into the artist’s newest work.
So far, 2021 has been an incredibly busy time for the artist known as Bennett. We don’t know how he does it, but lockdown must have been an incredibly slow, yet thoughtful time for him. Seeing a massive surge in output during this year so far has led to a handful of wonderful R&B inspired tracks from an artist we’re quickly learning to love. His latest “Boy Into A King” is no different, definitely check this one out.
Instrumentally, there’s a ton going on here that has more than piqued our interest. We’d say that at its base, it’s certainly an R&B track, however with the smooth addition of nylon and Latin-inspired guitars featured on the background, there’s a whole new depth that’s created here. With the obvious standout that are the artist’s vocals, the combination of it all makes for yet another stunning addition to his rapidly growing discography.
The real wonder here is that with so many singles being released within such a short amount of time, it implores the question of will there be an EP or full length album on the way. We had to go back and listen to the rest of the singles that have been shared, and of course they’re amazing, but now what we really want is a cohesive record from Bennett that surrounds a theme from start to finish. Don’t get us wrong, we enjoy the isolated stories being covered on isolated singles, but something that flows from start to finish would be wonderful.
Specifically on “Boy Into A King” though, we’ve got nothing negative to say about it at all. It was a lovely introduction to this artist as a whole and the replayability factor on it is always quite high as well. From us, this is totally a song we’ll be recommending to all the readers out there. Go ahead and give it a spin!
