Long awaited, but finally out and ready for the world to listen, Barry Szeto is back with his newest EP In My Head! Keep reading for our full review of this stellar record, as well as a refresher on the artist.

For those out of the loop on Barry Szeto, he is a singer and songwriter who is currently based out of Toronto, Canada. After previously releasing his single “8 Hours” that we loved so much, the full project In My Head is out and it has completely surpassed all of our expectations. Effortlessly blending up sounds of Pop, R&B, and a whole lot of his own signature style, we can’t help but overwhelmingly recommend a listen.

After seeing past successes like making his TV debut on Canadian talent search show “Today’s Talent Time” and having his music featured on “Much Music”, Barry Szeto has already proved he’s got what it takes to make it to the next level. Expanding on everything he’s made in the past both stylistically and on the production side, there’s one thing that has stood out the most to us, and it’s 100% the evolution of his vocals. Even without the glimmery background sounds present, Barry’s vocals take center stage and make the experience worth venturing into.

Coming in at 4 total tracks, spanning just over 16 minutes in run time, In My Head is the perfect bite size EP that certainly doesn’t overstay its welcome or pull any cheap gimmicks. Exhibiting pure artistry in a short burst of time, the record flows like an endless stream of ingenuity and there’s isn’t a single dull moment or lull present. Picking a favorite song would be a waste of time as they’re all great, and because it’s a cohesive record, we suggest starting at the beginning and letting it run through fully.

At the moment, Barry Szeto is giving the Pop genre exactly the type of boost and originality it needs. With so many artists churning out similar sounding projects, we sincerely encourage you to check out this fun new EP and to keep on exploring the rest of his music too. There’s plenty of gems to uncover, you just have to start listening.
