Aradia crafts the perfect uplifting EP, "Soar"
Thrilling and immediately exotic, Aradia’s debut EP titled Soar has quickly become one of our favorite new records. Do yourselves a huge favor and read along with us as we share our complete thoughts, as well as a background on this talented artist.
Currently representing the Brooklyn music scene, Aradia is a multi-instrumentalist and producer who is effortlessly putting together a complex mix of indie synth-pop. Kicking off her Elevater series, the point of this record is made to uplift and inspire others during these wild times we’re collectively living through. For us at least, she’s gone above and beyond on that front. We can’t wait for you all to check out this record, it’s wonderful.
Where to even begin on such a lovely and dense record than the production style that was absolutely our first stand out. Like any producer out there, there’s always more to learn and more to experiment with, but Aradia has single handedly stepped it up on the entirety of Soar. Kicking things off with the mellow groove that was “Sunshower” was the perfect introduction to her music as a whole, yet kept us glued to every bass bumping moment of this 5-song EP.
As isolated singles and shorter EP’s become more popular from artists across the globe, we also like to think that the artist isn’t providing us with filler in order to bump up streaming numbers. Short, succinct, and straight to the point records just like this are exactly what we enjoy the most. You’re getting the best that the artist has to offer at that moment in time and it really becomes a lot easier to consume it again and again due to its shorter run time. We know for the absolute fact that Soar is going to be a continued listen for us for a variety of reasons.
There’s also no way we could get through this review without pointing out Aradia’s sensational vocals present. Every single song, no matter the context, she’s providing all of the passion and love in the world. It comes across so clearly and legitimately put smiles on our collective faces. As mentioned before, this is 100% a record that you can’t skip over, there’s so much greatness present from the opening moments.
