AnnaBella surpass expectations on transcendent EP, "4-Bitten Fruit"
Coming out extremely strong on an all new EP titled 4-Bitten Fruit, the power duo known as AnnaBella have absolutely crushed on their performance. Keep reading as we take a closer look into the record, in addition to a background on the band.
For those potentially out of the loop, AnnaBella are a Vienna-based female duo that are confidently putting their best foot forward in creating an inspired Rock sound. On their debut EP to the world titled 4-Bitten Fruit, from top to bottom they’re serving up animated, theatrical, and enthusiastic tracks that are undeniably catchy and edgy. This was our introduction to the band, but it should almost go without saying that they’ve impressed us, which is why we’re urging everyone out there to check this out.
On the background of the band, Anna is ultimately the brains behind the songwriting whereas Bella takes those words and infuses all the power in the world as they collectively hit record. The entirety of 4-Bitten Fruit does a great job of covering wildly complex and dense themes, however they’ve claimed that they’re talking about specific taboos in which women only discuss behind closed doors. In this scenario, not only does this record give you a sneak peak into a world you may not understand, but it’s exceptionally breaking the mold of the “norms” we experience in day to day life. It’s a massive reason why we’ve enjoyed this EP so much, but also because you can undoubtedly feel the immense love, passion, and respect these ladies have for music as a whole.
Instrumentally and stylistically speaking, there’s so many glimmers of Power Pop within their grand and remarkable Rock sound that continue to transcend the record. For example, the screaming instrumentation and vocal cadence presence on “Replaced” feels like the quintessential standout on this record.The entire experience is fully an adventurous joyride through experimentation, so we’d recommend you listen to it all, but honestly this is about as great as it gets for a debut effort. Long live AnnaBella and we sincerely cannot wait for more to be unleashed soon enough.
