Alex Genadinik explains the background of "Guardians of Souls" - Interview
Putting forward yet another inspiring and imaginative piece of music, Alex Genadinik has just shared his latest, “Guardians of Souls”. Luckily for us, we got the opportunity to sit and speak with the man behind the music for an in-depth interview.
For those out of the loop on Alex Genadinik, he’s a New York City-based singer and songwriter who is creating music with meaningful lyrics. Expansive in sound and pushing the genre to its limits, getting to hear all about “Guardians of Souls” was an absolute treat. Hearing the background on how everything came to fruition was priceless, but the final product of the song is what we really want you checking out.
Inspired by a wide variety of greats like Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, Alex also has infused the likes of Russian poets Vladimir Vysotsky and Bulat Okudzhava into his works. Being from Ukraine, Alex has this different perspective that he brings to his music and also has a YouTube channel where he translates their works into English for those who are interested. It seems as though everything this artist touches is bursting with creative passion, which is why we were so excited to get the inside scoop of it all.

So much of what we’ve enjoyed about this musician’s music is his flawless ability to break the “norm” of a mainstream sound. He’s embracing the alternative, paving his own path, and creating something brand new that so clearly fills him with passion.
