On her third overall single titled “Be Friends”, we’re fairly confident that Alana Sukul has just topped herself. Please keep reading for our full and in-depth look into the track, as well as a background on the artist.

At only 19 years old, Alana Sukul is an emerging artist who’s carving her own path within a multitude of musical genres. Reminiscent of R&B, funk, and pop, her latest “Be Friends” was an absolute blast to get into and we quickly became fans just off our first listen. Without a doubt, this is not only a single that we’re recommending you listen to, but an artist you should certainly keep an eye on in the coming months for other anticipated releases.

On the background of “Be Friends”, Alana says, “Friendship breakups can sometimes hurt a lot worse than your typical romantic breakup, I hope this song will help listeners to grieve over the loss by dancing it out.” There’s almost no better way to get the emotions out than by creating and that’s exactly what this South West London musician has done. She’s masterfully infusing soul into this song, but keeps it as real as can be when actually connecting the dots on the lyricism.

Considering we’ve all had so much time to reflect this past year, the personal experiences never stop building and coming to a head. Naturally, Alana turned to songwriting where she’s been creating these instantly catchy singles for all to love. As this was our first introduction to the artist as a whole, we’ve now happily binged her music and we’re beyond happy that we’ve done so. We highly recommend checking out “Attention” and “HEALING” as well.

There’s no way we’d be able to get through this review without highlighting the expert production featured on the track as well. Everything was crisp, clean, and mixed perfectly. While Alana’s vocals are the clear star of the show from start to finish, there’s enough going on instrumentally in the background to easily groove out to and dance around with. All in all, this was a complete package wrapped up in a heavenly song, we’re endorsing this one 100%.
