On his first single of 2021, Aija Aini has come roaring back in a big way on his latest, “Lost In The Paint”. We are loving it! Please read along for our full featured review of the single, as well as a comprehensive background on the artist too.

Indie pop singer and songwriter Aija Aini’s “Lost In The Paint” is a clear cut entry that “speaks to losing yourself to life and feeling like you need to numb the pain, but reminds us to add colour back into our lives”. Putting his heart on his sleeve in this three and a half minute thriller, Aija’s 2021 is off to a hot start with a single we’ve quickly grown to love.

Drawing direct influence from the likes of Sebastian, M83, and Ed Sheeran, there’s a slew of originality emanating from this isolated single that has let us know that the best has yet to come from Aija Aini. Jam packed with a wall of synthesizers, mature vocals, on top of a lyrical masterpiece, “Lost In The Paint” is a true original and fresh piece of art that is made for the masses.

As a long time lover of music, Aija is no stranger to creating works of his own. Originally born in the Marshall Islands and adopted into the United States, he’s continued on and followed his passion for music. It has doubled as a way of honoring the wishes of his late father and you can palpably feel the love and emotional connection that has brightly shined through.

With a long string of singles consistently being shared since around 2018, more than anything, we’d love to see or hear a cohesive EP or full length LP from the artist that details a moment in his life. From our perspective, it feels like he creates when he’s inspired in terms of communicating a personal life experience or getting an idea out there in some capacity. While we know the work that goes into putting out an album is immense, we’d still love to hear an outing from Aija in the form of something cohesive.

Before you even consider exiting out of this article, we’ve got to stop you in your tracks and direct you to the important links below where you can not only listen, but follow along with Aija’s future releases. This is certainly a career we’re looking forward to. You’ll definitely feel the same as soon as you’re finished with your initial listen. Enjoy!
