Featuring a crunchy instrumentation, rich production, and of course Abz at the helm leading the way with her infectious and empowering vocals, we simply haven’t been able to stop listening since it got sent our way. Acquiring accolades over the years while currently being based in London, everything positive coming her way has been rightfully earned. While her discography has been steadily growing since 2020, it’s mighty, and you can certainly hear major improvements from track to track. With pop punk seemingly making a resurgence over the past 10 years or so, it’s songs like this that take the best elements of the past and modernize them for a fruitful future. Specifically on “It’s Not Your Movie”, the track comes in at a tight three minutes or so, and while it has you wanting to replay it at the end, it holds so many glimmers, twists, and turns that keep the listener’s interest piqued.
Abz is certainly the focal point, that’s a definite, but where the song also brightens up is in its blooming instrumentation that showcase a cavalcade of sound, style, and emphasis on pop punk roots.
