Interview by Austin Sher

Fresh off of the release of their newest EP, Worried About You, we had the opportunity to speak with Wesley Toledo and Javi Reyes of Chicago psych rock band, Post Animal. You can find our full video interview by clicking the link below.

If you’re feeling like reading a little bit before watching, let us give you a quick background on the band before you fully dig in. If you’re a general fan of rock and roll or even psychedelic rock, Post Animal is absolutely the band you’ve been missing out on. With their full album of release of Forward Motion Godyssey released earlier this year, they’re quickly cementing themselves into the pantheon of rock music.

The band itself is made up of Dalton Allison (bass), Jake Hirshland (guitar/keyboard), Javi Reyes (guitar), Wesley Toledo (drums), and Matt Williams (guitar) who together have been making sweet tunes since their first release The Garden Series in 2016. Since then, the band has managed to fine tune their sound and explore space and time through cohesive and upbeat rock records that fans across the world have managed to enjoy.

Having been fans since the early days, we’ve been lucky enough to see the band progress through their live shows (of which are incredible) and we can’t wait for the day to see them perform once again. Speaking with Wesley and Javi regarding the release of this newest EP, Worried About You, we’re thrilled to say that a future sound of songs sounding like these would make the world a better place.

As the band heads into the winter season in Chicago, IL, the fans should be getting excited as it appears new music in the works. We’d never want to rush a band into creating greatness, so no rush on their end. In the meantime, we’ll do what we always do and play their records over and over while playing air guitar and drums to the best of our abilities.

With this all being said, we had a fantastic conversation that we’d love for you all to watch. If this is your first foray into the music of Post Animal, definitely take a listen, but you can also keep up with them on all of their social media by checking out the links below. Enjoy the interview!
