Here it is, another week, another New Music Friday. This one in particular was especially filled with likeable new singles and tracks, but also albums we’re hoping will be long time listeners as well. Join us as we dissect what exactly we’ll be listening to until next week.

Before we jump into the releases put out this week, let’s talk about how grating it can sometimes be to always listen to new tunes. Like a middle schooler with his iPod Shuffle listening to the same album over and over again, sometimes that’s a time we’d like to go back to. While listening to new music is fantastic for discovery and hearing new songs or finding new bands, there is nothing like having an old faithful playlist to fall back on with all your favorite hits of the past. This is no way a complaint, we love new music when it comes our way, but sometimes it can feel like a full time job just getting the energy to experience something new and unique.

With that being said, it’s still always a pleasure to listen to something that was recommended or you’re just taking a random chance on and you end up loving it! You’re the “cool” friend of your group who always has the go to indie tracks that no one else has ever heard of, oh what a super fun hipster you are. That’s ok though, everyone needs that friend! Everyone needs that person that introduces them to some underground art rock band from Copenhagen, it’s always appreciated within the inner circle of close friends.
