Fresh off the release of his 7th studio album, Roseville, Har Mar Superstar was kind enough to sit with us for an interview and deliver all the finer details of the record. You can watch our full chat by clicking the YouTube link below.

Sean Tillman, better known as Har Mar Superstar, has just released his long awaited record, Roseville. In our video interview with one of the most interesting artists of his generation, we discussed what a future set list might look like, his hopes for touring, and a full analyzation of his newest record. Following up 2016’s Best Summer Ever, we confidently think this might be his best release to date.

If for some reason this is the first time that Har Mar Superstar’s music has come across your computer screen, what rock have you been living under? Not to worry, it’s never too late to hop on the bandwagon of fantastic music. On Roseville specifically, the artist has crafted an amalgamation of the best parts of music. Featuring a genre expansive track list that covers the 70’s, 80’s, and even a dose of the future, we think this might be his most mature and cohesive record yet.

Considering that his self-titled debut album Har Mar Superstar was released in the year 2000, Sean has come quite the way from those days. Being able to listen to his sound change, refine, and prosper over the years has been nothing short of amazing. We’re hoping we’re back to a day soon where we can buy concert tickets, but let us just make it clear right now that if you’re buying tickets to a Har Mar Superstar show, you’re in for the night of your life. Part of our conversation touched upon creating a set list with now such an expansive discography and how exactly that shifts the dynamic. While nothing is set in stone for the performer, we’ll be front and center once the time comes.

A full in-depth analysis of the album will be coming from us shortly, but in the meantime we sincerely hope you give all the listens to Roseville and pre-order the record which is set for a physical release towards the middle of May. If possible, purchase on a Bandcamp Friday, that way 100% of the funds go to the artist. For someone working so incredibly hard in his day job as a USPS mail carrier and then slaving the night away as a musician, that should be all the reason in the world to help support.

As we mentioned in our interview, his music has brought incalculable amounts of joy into our lives since we first discovered his music. His music is always the first to hit the road trip, workout, or show to friends playlists. The music is made for any aged person, regardless of musical preference, and it was just a serious joy to be able to speak with the man who keeps it real.

For now though, we’ve included a bunch of links below that you can follow along and listen to the latest record. Enjoy!
