It’s been more than two years since Paul Rust and Michael Cassady of Don’t Stop or We’ll Die dropped in for an interview, but having just released their newest album Signature Please, the time finally came. Do yourselves a favor and check it out in full below.

Just as a refresher in case you happened to be unfamiliar with the band’s work, Don’t Stop or We’ll Die have enthusiastically put together their niche style of music for quite some time now. With a podcast of their own called SONG-A-WEEK in which they release one song per week, this record Signature Please is the newest batch of tracks in which they continue to express themselves lyrically, instrumentally, and emotionally. It’s always a blast getting the opportunity to speak with these two talented artists, so obviously it’s a conversation not to be missed.

Coming in at 12 total tracks that span the entire musical spectrum of sound, style, and genre, DSOWD still somehow manage to impart that signature essence and feel that immediately lets you know it’s a work of their own. While both Paul and Michael have unique vocal deliveries that are immediately a giveaway it’s them, they’re also backed up by two incredibly talented multi-instrumentalists Emeen Zarookian and Tony Thaxton. During our conversation, we took an in-depth look at how they actually get it done week to week releasing one new song, the in’s and outs of production, and so much more. The passion all of these artists have is immense and it’s an absolute wonder to hear the versatility in all of these songs.

To no surprise in the slightest surrounding these songs, there’s legitimately no creative stop or limit to what they make. It’s almost difficult to put into words, but as a listener you’re continually being thrown around in what to expect. Some songs are more lyric-forward, some take you on an instrumental journey, and some are downright dramatic. To this day it’s impressive to consider their work ethic and all that goes into it. With all that being said, don’t miss out on another amazing record.
