We can claim this right at the top, Parcels are undoubtedly one of the most underrated bands in the music industry today. Last weekend at Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco, they went ahead and proved that sentiment once again! Please go ahead and check out our full review of their set below.

We had the incredible opportunity to cover Parcels at their show this year at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, and what an absolute joy that was. Seeing them on the Outside Lands lineup was a no brainer for our reason to attend, but also a bigger urge to get there in a timely manner to set up with a great spot. At first we were a tad worried it might be emptier than expected due to their overlap with Jack Harlow, however the fans showed up big and the band ripped through a full hour of extra jammy hits.

That was probably the biggest difference between our last time seeing them, was that their festival set is so much different than their dedicated show. They played all their hits, but also really extended some of the songs into these highly psychedelic jams that easily put all the attendees into a trance of greatness. We had a wonderful spot on the hill where the people were dancing, and for those who hadn’t seen them previously, each and every person was outspoken about how amazing they actually were. That was the least of our surprises though considering they crush everytime.

While they played a majority of the set from their 2021 album Day/Night, they treated fans to some older songs off their self-titled debut Parcels and it was a total treat to get to see it all go down. As the set went on, the entirety of Sutro filled out and flooded the area with excited concert goers who were nonstop dancing, grooving, and living carelessly in that moment. It’s tough to say if it was our favorite show of the weekend, but there’s a pretty great chance that it was Top 3!

For now though, if you haven’t listened to the band’s music, don’t waste another moment. Please check out the links below to do so, enjoy!
