Pulling out all the stops and ultimately hypnotizing every concertgoer in attendance, Thievery Corporation continues to be one of music’s best live shows. Witnessing their flawless set this past week at Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium was an absolute joy and just goes to show that this veteran band has no plans to slow it down. Check out our full review of the show below.

What was originally scheduled for Friday, November 10th, thankfully was easily rescheduled to the 11th, and with that the energy of the crowd was even more excited to witness what would end up being a career spanning show. Covering every nook and cranny of their immensely long discography, longtime fans and even newcomers got a taste of a little bit of everything the band has to offer. One of the coolest things about Thievery Corporation’s discography is that due to their longevity and exploration in sound, you never really know what you’re going to get, rather the group effortlessly delivers their good vibes.

Now if you’ve never seen them in action before, one of the more unique parts of their set is the rotating cast of vocalists that switch out on each song. While each of them are so talented in their own right, every member of the touring band really gets their moment to shine. On the instrumentation side of things, they continue to be the opposite of lackluster in terms of variation. Featuring sitars, double drums, bongos, ripping bass lines, and a slew of other surprises, you’ll never feel like you needed more.

The setlist as always continues to be varied and features some of their greatest hits from albums like The Richest Man In Babylon, The Temple of I&I, and so many more. It goes back to us saying just how any fan of any era can come and appreciate the show. They continue to be lively and playful with the audience, all the while crafting one of the tightest instrumental sets we’ve ever witnessed. With 6 to 8 members on stage at any point, you’re consistently getting hit with a wall of sound that doesn’t disappoint.

Wrapping it up though, if Thievery Corporation is on tour and happens to be coming to a city near you, let this be the review that lets you know to get those tickets and go! You can virtually guarantee it’s going to be an incredibly memorable show that will solidify your love for the band for years going forward. Enjoy!
