Celebrating the massive release of their latest album, Love Gibberish, Post Animal made their way to Los Angeles to play a show of epic proportions at the Lodge Room in Highland Park. As always, the band tore through their rapidly growing discography and delivered a night full of hits, rarities, and a ton of debuts off the new record. We were there front and center, plus we’ve got a full photo gallery below to relive it all.

Currently in full swing on their tour supporting their newest record Love Gibberish, wherever Post Animal happens to be playing, that’s where the parties at. Having witnessed the evolution of their live show over the past 5 or 6 years, it’s been unreal to see them jet to the forefront of one of rock’s finest live acts. As their fan base continues to grow strong and their music somehow keeps getting better, the energy at these events are unmatched, and the set lists are insane. Last night saw some super old tunes off of Post Animal Perform the Most Curious Water Activities, but the standout for us at least was the immense version of “Goggles” that was played, It’s burned in our brains at the moment!

Considering we spoke with the band about two weeks for a full interview surrounding this record release, one of our main questions was how it would translate live and how they’d manage to work it in with all their other hits. The set itself lasted close to an hour and a half, but through extended jams, they pleased everyone with a reworked version of “When I Get Home” (our personal favorite) and other mega hits off of When I Think Of You In A Castle. The pit was open throughout most of the night, and considering the Lodge Room isn’t the largest space, everyone was involved whether they wanted to be or not. Although we have to point out that while the crowd did seem a tad aggressive, it was an inclusive experience and concert goers kept each other safe in the process which is always a plus.

All in all though, if Post Animal are heading anywhere near you on this current tour, we urge everyone out there to grab a ticket and make your way there! Love Gibberish absolutely rips in a live setting and getting to see “No More Sports” in the flesh is something we can now mark off of our bucket list. We’ve included all the important links below in order to listen, follow along, and of course to keep up with everything related to the band. Enjoy!
