Peach PRC Brightens the Night at NYC's Gramercy Theatre
At her first headline show in NYC, Peach PRC captivated the audience at the Gramercy Theatre this past Monday night. Everyone in the crowd came dressed to the nines in pink, glitter, and sequins, which is all part of the Peach PRC brand. We were there to experience the event, so please enjoy our full review and attached photo gallery below.
Fellow Australian, CXLOE, opened the show, and then Peach PRC took the stage decked out in sparkles, fairy wings and long pink hair. With her bubblegum pop sounds paired with her heartfelt lyrics, Peach PRC led the crowd through equal parts singalongs and sentimental moments. Songs like “Forever Drunk” and “Symptomatic” had fans singing and dancing; while songs like “Heavy” and “Dear Inner Child” pulled at fans' heart strings.
Peach (fun fact PRC is an abbreviation for porcelain) played all of the songs from her recently released debut EP, Manic Dream Pixie, which included fan favorites like “Loved You Before” and “Kinda Famous”. In addition to her own music, Peach PRC played 3 covers: Teenage Dirtbag (which received a glowing review from Wheatus themselves), “Escape” by Enrique Iglesias and closed the show with a very on brand performance of “This Is What Dreams Are Made Of” by Hilary Duff from The Lizzie McGuire Movie.
Even though a lot of Peach PRC’s emotional songs are disguised by pop beats, the whole show was a fun, positive, and ultimately upbeat night. Peach mentioned it herself, that the whole room felt like a family and everyone was just there to have a good time. Although she doesn’t have any more USA dates on the calendar at the moment, she’s definitely one to keep an eye out for the next time she’s performing in your area!
Truly if you’ve yet to let the music of Peach PRC into your life, now’s the perfect opportunity. She’s doing things different and consistently putting a unique artistic touch onto everything with her name on it. So please, take a moment and click those links below to listen, follow along, and of course to stay tuned for much more in the works. Don’t miss the photos either!
