“I changed the name of this tour because love is the answer to everything. It doesn’t matter where you come from or who you are; all we need is love.” Kesha danced the night away and sang hits from each of her beloved albums October 20th at Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida. The crowd was full of her die hard fans who traveled from near and far to sing every word. The theme for the tour is love, which is clearly represented through dance and Kesha’s own theatricality. Her live performances seem to be getting more elaborate with time. Not only does she have captivating dancers on stage with her doing multiple dance styles and tricks, but they also participated in her various costume changes. Overall, this night was unforgettable.

Kesha opened the show with “Only Love Can Save Us Now” to really key in the theme of her show. This was followed by her first hit single to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 100 Charts, “Tik Tok,” which had the crowd roaring. She spent the night reinforcing the themes of freedom, honesty and love. Which were also well represented in her colorful lighting and stage design. She briefly spoke about Britney Spears and her recent freedom while introducing a cover of her song “Till The World Ends.” The show closed with “We R Who We R” featuring pride flags and rainbow lighting. Again, reinforcing the themes of love and freedom.

Another factor of the show that was truly enjoyable was her crowd interactions. Kesha explained that during her VIP meet and greet earlier in the day, she did a gender reveal and she agreed to ordain a couple’s wedding. She even took a song request and sang “Rainbow” during the show. You can tell she truly cares for her fans.

Along with the seriousness of the anecdotes she shared, Kesha peppered in her sense of humor saying, “From all the hate I’ve gotten over the years, I’ve written some pretty f****** good songs.” The Only Love Tour is well done, brings a good message, and is honestly a fun experience. Kesha is touring across the US until November 18th, when she’ll close her tour in her hometown of Los Angeles. This is a show you don’t want to miss!
